Elche CF has made significant progress in the redevelopment of the area surrounding the Martínez Valero stadium, aiming to complete the works before year-end. The project, covering 25,000 square meters and an investment of 3.2 million euros, includes new roads, two roundabouts, widened sidewalks, lighting, and parking areas. Councilor Francis Soler highlighted that the improvements will enhance daily mobility and access during matches and events.
Parking and enhanced public transport
During matches, especially the game against FC Barcelona on August 23, fans have been able to park normally thanks to the construction phase planning. Additionally, public transport was reinforced with lines F and K1, and K2 for access from stops 356 and 320, with specific routes to the city center until half an hour after the match.
New roads and roundabouts to manage traffic
The project includes the construction of Manuel Martínez Valero Avenue, 375 meters long with four lanes and sidewalks, and José Esquitino Sempere Avenue, 410 meters long with pedestrian space. These works prepare the area for future urban expansions and improve connectivity with residential and industrial sectors.
