Barcelona will train before the match against Elche with the absence of Jesse Bisiwu, Orian Goren and Ebrima Tunkara, who are moving to the reserves. Bisiwu, 18, cannot be registered in La Liga due to a visa issue; Tunkara, 16, and Goren, 17, will play in friendly matches with the reserves.
Training and Friendlies
The blue-and-red team meets at the Joan Gamper Sports City on Saturday morning before its visit to Elche on Sunday at 21:30. Hansi Flick does not include the three players in the session; they will train with Barça Atlètic under Juliano Belletti, who will play a friendly on Sunday at 19:00 against CF Vilanova.
Bisiwu’s Situation
Jesse Bisiwu, 18-year-old Belgian forward who joined this summer from Club Brugge, cannot be registered in La Liga because of a visa-related bureaucratic issue. With a reserve contract, he may get minutes in the Sunday friendly if the club deems it appropriate.
Tunkara and Goren in the Reserves
Ebrima Tunkara, 16-year-old midfielder, already moved to the reserves last Wednesday to play a closed-door friendly against Europa (1-0 with a goal by Aziz), though he was in the Gamper in the afternoon. Orian Goren, 17-year-old interior, joins Barça Atlètic.
Other Reserve Players
The reserve-contracted players who remain under Hansi Flick’s command and are expected to travel to Elche are Xavi Espart, Álvaro Cortes, Hamza Abdelkarim, Brian Fariñas and Jordi Pesquer, plus goalkeeper Eder Aller.
