Elche CF coach Martín Anselmi has granted a weekend off to the team after a week of preparation with two friendly matches against Al-Ain and Córdoba. The team will return to training at La Finca Resort, a usual working place for the team in the last pre-seasons, and will stay there until August 8th.
Since July 1st, the team has been doing tactical and physical sessions at the Díaz Iborra field in the Elche Sports City. The coaching staff aims to have a cohesive group for the start of the competition, although the team has only made one signing so far, Fer Niño.
Elche CF will close the week with a friendly match on August 8th against Toulouse at the Pinatar Arena in San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia).
The team is currently in 18th position in the league, with 32 points and a recent form of WLWLL. They have scored 39 goals and received 47 in the current season, with a -8 goal difference.
