Elche C.F. has announced the signing of Argentine striker Abiel Osorio, who joins the team after his time at Defensa y Justicia. The club, which is still looking to strengthen its attack, has added a new piece to the puzzle for coach Martín Anselmi, who will lead the team in their upcoming LaLiga season starting on Monday, August 17, against Deportivo de La Coruña at 9:00 PM.

Osorio's Journey to Elche

Abiel Osorio began his career at Vélez Sarsfield, where he made his debut with the first team in the 2021/22 season. During that period, he scored eight goals in 40 matches and spent three seasons at the Argentine club. In the 2023/24 campaign, he joined Defensa y Justicia, where over the last three years, he has scored 10 goals, although last season he was only able to take part in four matches.

Osorio in Elche

The Argentine forward is now available to coach Martín Anselmi, who has included him in the team's training plans. Fer Niño, who was already a first step in the search for an offensive reference, has been an initial option, and with the arrival of Osorio, competition in the forward line has increased.

General Director Pedro Schinocca has spoken about various market matters, with special attention to the front line. The departure of Álvaro Rodríguez and the end of the loan spells of Rafa Mir and André Da Silva have left an area of the pitch with room for further signings.

Osorio's arrival comes at a crucial moment for Elche C.F., as the club seeks to strengthen its attack and prepare for the upcoming season.
